I can truthfully say that I can no longer contain my excitement. I created this because melting crayons, but it also represents a beautiful chaotic situation, much like what THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be. It’s a mess….but it’s a beautiful mess.

I will be attending a wedding for my dear friend and I am very excited :) she and I made a promise back at city college about me taking her wedding photos whenever that day came, but since we couldn’t work it out, I am deciding to give her a free maternity photoshoot when she has her baby in October!
This is the special gift certificate that I custom made to put inside of her card for today :) had a lot of fun making this one.

My final painting from this quarter: “Grandpa’s Boots”
This painting is special to me because my grandpa did the original ink drawing when he was about my age, almost 50 years ago. I am very similar to him and he was a great big influence on my life. The standing boot represents me grasping barely onto the fallen boot, my grandpa who died about 10 years ago.

Please help out a fellow artist!
I made these a while ago with the intent of selling them and making some money for myself. These were all hand-cut and handprinted. I have 20 of them in RED and 20 in blue and they are a numbered edition so I signed and numbered them all.
If anyone is interested in buying one, they are $10. Each print is 5”x7”.
Thank you :) I’ll have to figure out how you can pay for them first if you are interested.

These are two paintings that I created about a year and a half ago that I put a lot of thought into. It’s called “Innocence” and it deals directly with the child soldiers in Africa. The backdrop is coffee stained newspaper clippings at random with red paint to represent the blood. People have spent more time trying to read the newspaper clippings that look at the poor child soldier right in front of them. That is the point of this piece. People don’t notice the big picture right in front of them.
I don’t know if there will be a student gallery going on at school that I can display this, but I will be selling them. If there is a gallery and I can display it, and you want to buy it, I will have to put it on hold until after. But right now, I’m giving them $25 dollars for each.
They are 18”x24” so they are a good size.
If you are interested, please let me know ASAP.

Russell - UP concept art
I think it wouldn’t be fair or right if I didn’t let me future child join Boy Scouts or something like that. It just seems like I wouldn’t be doing the right thing.
